About Us

Our Conduit Mission team is here to be your guide
Conduit Mission is an organization that is your conduit to changing the world.  We exist to be your conduit of delivering your time, treasure, talents and influence to people who need you most.

Our Story

K.P. Yohannan, founder of Gospel for Asia, in his book Revolution of World Missions urged every North American Christian to ask themselves two questions–

  • Why do you think God has allowed you to be born in the Global North…and to be blessed with such material and spiritual abundance?
  • In light of the superabundance you enjoy, what do you think is your minimal responsibility to the untold millions of lost and suffering in the world?

When you answer those questions, it leads to one more question. Who can I trust to help me make a difference?

It was that question that led to Darren Tyler founding Conduit Mission in 2008.

We are a simple organization that exists for you to make maximum impact. In our 10 years, we have had the honor of being the conduit of almost 1000 missionaries to countries around the world. We have been the conduit of over $3M in building orphanages, schools, clinics, churches as well as serving thousands of meals a year to children living in extreme poverty.

Our most honored role is that of conduit of Jesus. We believe that without Jesus we can leave people with a full belly and an empty heart. He promised us that through us would flow rivers of living water. When we come together, as conduits of the Holy Spirit.

As we enter our second decade, we are not slowing down. We are expanding to reach more nations, and alleviate the suffering of those within our reach. We are grateful to the Lord for bringing us this far, and excited to see where leads us next.

Darren Tyler

Darren Tyler

Founder

Darren Tyler is a veteran in the music and entertainment industry.  His 20 year career included stints at Vanguard Entertainment and William Morris Agency before founding Platform Artist Management.  His clients included Jars of Clay, Third Day, and Kutless. In 2010 he laid that aside to give his full attention to Conduit Mission, which he founded in 2007.

As an artist manager it was Darren’s job to help an artist unpack what it was God called them to do, and then prepare them to accomplish it.  It turns out to be the exact same skill set that is now aimed at missionaries who feel called to the Nations.

Today, Darren and his wife of 23 years, Shannon, pastor Conduit Church.  They have 4 children. Madilyn is 21, Ashleigh is 17, Lauryn is 16, and Ethan is 12.

David Christopher

David Christopher

Director

Combining his love of music and travel, David Christopher left his position of house parent at a children’s home and moved to Nashville in 2001 to become a tour manager in the music industry.  Four years later, an eye-opening Perspectives on the World Christian Movement class combined with a subsequent trip to Nepal radically shifted his worldview.  There he finally saw first hand the beauty and horror of absolute poverty and its effects on the human condition.  Since then, he has crisscrossed the globe either touring or in humanitarian aid.  In 2012, David brought his experiences in missions and tour managing to serve as the role of Director of Missions at Conduit Mission.  David collects percussion instruments, is a die-hard Manchester United fan, has a mad passion for the outdoors, and when he’s not out in his canoe, he’s spending time with his beautiful family.

Glenda Bashor

Glenda Bashor

Missionary Liaison

Glenda is a career missionary, having served along with her husband, Andrew, in 15 years of ministry.  Following leading corporate worship, entrepreneurialism, and working in corporate America, they ‘retired’ and both became reservists in Hope Force, a disaster response agency.  Through multiple deployments they were able to fully realize their love for serving people in the hour of their greatest need- often after having lost everything they owned.  They served Hope Force through many natural disasters including hurricanes, tornadoes, and wildfires.  In 2015 they relocated to their native homeland of Canada, where they serve with various organizations in responding in crisis situations as well as alongside their local churches in developing preparedness to serve their community in crisis.  Glenda also serves Conduit Mission, overseeing the registration process and helping make sure everyone has what they need in order to keep up with schedule and paperwork.  She is an invaluable part of the Conduit MIssion team, and an incredible example to all of us that there is no such thing as retirement!

Jayna Christopher

Jayna Christopher

Field Support

Jayna is the lovely wife of Conduit Mission’s Director, David Christopher.  As many couples do, Jayna works alongside David in running the day to day operations of Basecamp Conduit Mission – especially when everyone else is out in the field.  She has a keen eye for detail and helps keep everything running smoothly.  She is our designated first point of contact in the event of an out of country emergency and also works alongside Glenda in making sure everyone has their paperwork in order before they leave the country.  In her spare time she creates incredible art pieces and loves to crochet.

Amy Roberts

Amy Roberts

Bookkeeper

Amy is our bookkeeper extraordinaire. She and her family have attended Conduit Church since its very beginning, serving there since day one.  She handles the many challenges of keeping each payment and donation on track.  If the intention of our efforts is to truly be a conduit to other people, Amy is likely one of our most important roles.  She keeps the conduit itself from getting bogged down and helps in dispersing funds all around the globe, as needed, when needed.  Amy and her husband have 2 wonderful daughters which they raise on a quiet piece of property where they can all enjoy the outdoors together.
